Dalriada, Knocklyon, Dublin 16 is a private housing development situated south of the M50 near the Dublin Mountains. It is a continuation of the successful development at Woodstown, Hunterswood and earlier phases at Dalriada.
Primarily consisting of own door family housing, the development is characterised by its use of innovative house types generated by an innovative housing layout which incorporates private open spaces, public open spaces, shared and on curtilage parking in a planned cellular layout.
Central to the success of the scheme is the supervision and overlooking of all the supervision and overlooking of all central open spaces which provide safe and child friendly play areas.
In order to achieve an average density of 30 units per hectare, a combination of higher density duplex units and terraced housing has been utilised. Central to the concept is the idea of providing efficiently planned starter houses with high levels of energy performance.
